Roxy Horner on wedding planning, meaningful gifts and her visit to The Wedding Shop Townhouse
Roxy Horner talks wedding planning with fiancé Jack Whitehall, the pieces that caught her eye while creating their wedding gift list with The Wedding Shop, and why the couple chose to turn their registry into a charity fund close to their hearts.

“I’m just going to pretend I live here for a moment,” says Roxy Horner, looking around The Wedding Shop Townhouse in Fulham. The quiet order of the space feels like a world away from life at home in Notting Hill, where she lives with her fiancé, comedian and actor Jack Whitehall, their two-year-old daughter Elsie and their dog. Like many young families, their household is full of energy. Roxy laughs that sleep can sometimes be in short supply when their daughter climbs into bed during the night, and their living room has even been known to house a trampoline.
Roxy joined us at The Wedding Shop Townhouse to talk about wedding planning with Jack and to explore ideas for their wedding registry. The Essex-born model, who first appeared in Vogue at just 17, met Jack in Australia in 2020. When the pandemic followed soon after, it brought them closer together quickly, and their relationship has unfolded at a fast but joyful pace ever since.

Now living together in Notting Hill as a family of three, the couple are preparing for their wedding while also thinking about the home and life they are building together. Their visit to the Townhouse comes as they move into the final stages of wedding planning. With Whitehall recently busy presenting the BRIT Awards, they have been carving out time to build their wedding registry and create a thoughtful gift list together - including charity funds for Diabetes UK, a cause close to their hearts.
The couple confirmed their engagement publicly in December 2024, after becoming parents to Elsie the year before, and life now has that joyful rhythm that comes with building a family together. Planning a wedding alongside that new chapter has brought its own mix of emotions.

Roxy Horner visits The Wedding Shop to create her wedding registry for her upcoming nuptials to Jack Whitehall.
Roxy Horner & Jack Whitehall on wedding planning
“I think it’s been a real mixture of stressful and also wonderful,” Roxy says. “Mostly I’ve enjoyed having the little day dates in the process.” Planning together has revealed a few unexpected things too. “Planning as a couple always reveals things, doesn’t it? It’s amazing what you can find out about your partner within the process.” Jack, she says, has been “so easy about everything”, while she has discovered she has stronger opinions than she expected, especially when it comes to flower colours. Anyone working through a wedding flower checklist will recognise that moment when small details suddenly become surprisingly important.

Then there is the venue, which for Roxy was an immediate yes. “I knew straight away when we were pulling up to the venue that it was the one,” she says. The moment that sealed it was simple and instinctive: “I had a good feeling when I saw a dog running around. I thought they like animals here, this is great!” It is exactly the kind of feeling couples often describe when they talk about finally choosing the perfect wedding venue.
When it came to the dress, the experience was surprisingly similar. “I didn’t know what I wanted until I tried it on,” Roxy says. “Much like the venue, it was one of the first I tried. I went to other places afterwards but nothing felt the same, so I went back and got it.”

Behind the scenes, the couple have also been working closely with their wedding planners, Studio White. “I’ve had help with everything through my wedding planners Studio White,” she says. “Kara and Hannah know all the best suppliers and work with all your ideas to make them come to life. I described my ideal wedding on our first meeting and they’ve made it all happen. I couldn’t recommend them more.”
Family is also quietly woven into many of their plans. Roxy’s parents married when she was already part of the picture, something she now reflects on fondly. “My parents had me before they were even engaged, so I was at their wedding and their honeymoon,” she says. “We’ve done things a little similarly and I’d love to recreate a photo I have with my mum on her wedding day with our daughter Elsie.”
… on their Townhouse experience
If you have ever tried to picture a wedding gift list from a screen, you will understand why Roxy lights up here. The Wedding Shop Townhouse is designed like a real home, with beautifully styled rooms spread across four floors. Roxy puts it simply: “I really love how the Townhouse is designed like a real home with beautifully styled rooms you can explore.”
It changes the whole mood of choosing gifts. Instead of thinking about items individually, you start imagining the spaces where life will unfold. The dining table where friends gather. The kitchen that becomes the heart of the home. The bedroom that feels calm at the end of a long day.
She begins in the living room with The Wedding Shop’s Gift Guru, Andrea, where many couples start their visit, before drifting upstairs to explore. The tableware room is the first place she slows down. One wall is stacked with plates like a tiled mural, and Roxy browses the shelves before scanning her first pick: a Burleigh plate in the Asiatic Pheasants pattern in pink.
From there, the house gently nudges them into imagining how these pieces might fit into their own home. A Wedgwood Gio Platinum oval platter feels like one of those traditional wedding gifts that appears at birthdays and Christmas lunches, and quietly becomes part of family traditions over time. A plain ivory wedding album from Aspinal of London suggests the photographs that will eventually fill its pages. These are the kinds of best wedding gifts couples often gravitate towards, pieces that carry meaning and last for years. Even the smaller details feel thoughtfully chosen, like a Garden Trading cushion that belongs on a sofa where guests settle comfortably at the end of an evening.
Downstairs in the kitchen, the mood becomes even more relaxed. Roxy lifts the lid of a shell pink Le Creuset cast iron casserole and smiles, clearly delighted by it. It is easy to imagine it sitting proudly on the hob. Nearby are pieces that naturally belong in everyday cooking, like a HexClad cookware set with lids and a rustic large heart oak board from The White Company that turns even a simple lunch into something that feels a little more special.
She continues exploring, scanning as she goes, until something stops her again. “When I saw the dog bowl with our dog’s name, Coco, on it, that really felt like a calling,” she says, laughing. A personalised double dog bowl from The Oak & Rope Company quickly makes its way onto their list. It is the kind of small but thoughtful detail that feels like a perfect unique wedding gift you’ll cherish for years to come.
The rest of the house continues to offer little sparks of inspiration. In the bedroom, she gravitates towards warm lighting and soft textures, scanning a Luna Home table lamp before browsing mirrors and décor as daylight pours through the windows. A Garden Trading vanity mirror catches her eye, along with a candy stripe blush cushion cover from Amuse La Bouche that brings a cheerful splash of colour.
In the bathroom, she can’t resist the comfort of a classic robe from The White Company, organic cotton and wonderfully soft. There is also the gentle glow of future evenings at home in her selections, like the luxury candle from Jo Malone London, the sort of gift that quietly becomes part of everyday rituals.
Then she spots something that feels connected to the next chapter of family life. “I thought the photo frames were really special,” she says, pausing beside a large multi-photo frame. “Especially the big ones you can add multiple photos in, a perfect wedding gift.” It makes sense that a large multi-aperture frame, like The White Company’s “Year in Memories” style, would stand out. With a small daughter already part of their story, the idea of capturing family memories feels especially meaningful.
…on the wedding gift choice that matters most to them
By the time Roxy returns downstairs, the atmosphere is exactly as it was when she arrived: bright, relaxed and welcoming. But the most important part of her visit is not about building a list of beautiful things. It is about making a choice that reflects something deeply personal in their lives.
Roxy and Jack have decided their wedding gift list will take the form of a charity fund, with guests invited to make charity contributions to Diabetes UK. “Diabetes UK is close to our hearts,” Roxy explains. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in May 2021, and she has spoken openly about how that experience shaped her life. Being diagnosed early in her relationship with Jack became an important part of their journey together. “The way Jack stood by my side during that time bonded us more than ever,” she says. Diabetes UK, she adds, has offered both practical support and a sense of community for many people living with the condition.

And while the couple are still finalising some of the details for the big day, Roxy already has one very clear idea for the evening entertainment. If she could choose anyone to headline a halftime-style show at the wedding, the answer comes instantly. “Elvis Presley.”
As she heads towards the door at the end of the visit, she turns back with a smile. “After having this experience, I genuinely couldn’t recommend The Wedding Shop enough,” she says. “It makes everything feel really exciting.”
