James & Kimberly's Spencer House Palace wedding

Elegant. Modern. Utterly romantic. These are just the first words that come to mind when describing James and Kimberly's wedding day. Spencer House, London's oldest palace, set the scene for the couple's big day, complete with whimsical chandeliers and champagne glasses at the ready. And we are still eating our hearts out over their draw-dropping cake. Take a look.

"Plan the day that you both want rather than what you think anyone else would like. Ultimately, they always say to plan the type of wedding you'd want to be a guest at. Whilst we had quite a traditional wedding, it was important to us to weave in both personal and more modern touches. There is no rule book, so follow your heart, and most importantly, make sure you enjoy the day and have fun, soak up every second."

"We were fortunate enough to have our wedding reception at the incredible Spencer House, London's oldest palace. A beautiful and unique venue that blew our guests away the minute they walked in the doors. Because of this traditional venue, we weaved more modern, alternative moments into the day such as the wedding cake and a super fun cocktail hour after dinner. We were also lucky enough to work with ALR music for our wedding day which delivered the most talented and fun band for everyone to dance the night away."

"Our church ceremony at St Paul's Knightsbridge was beautiful and very special, and the first moment we were together on our wedding day. The second favourite moment was the two of us walking (dancing) into the dining room together to Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher, by Jackie Wilson, whilst our guests were going crazy waving their napkins high above their heads!"

"The service provided by The Wedding Shop was extremely attentive, fun, and enjoyable! We loved being able to look around the showroom to see some of the potential gifts in situ. The website is set up so seamlessly too - everything just seemed to slot into place.
