Aino Aalto Pair of tall tumblers, 33cl, clear
A pioneer of Scandinavian design, Aino Aalto was a Finnish architect who also known for her functionalism-inspired textile, lamp and glassware designs for contemporary homes. Her approach to Modernism architectural style emphasized an honest use of materials and affordable mass production. This collection of her pressed glassware designs were inspired by the circles that form when a stone is thrown into the water, first presented in 1932 at a glassware competition. This design has ultimately stood the test of time due to the timeless design and space-saving forms that allow for stacking. Perfect for the contemporary family, this functional glassware is a must-have for any home.
Material: Pressed glass, made in Finland
Care: Can be washed in the dishwasher at a water temperature of maximum 50 °C and using dishwasher tablets or powder. The glassware should be positioned in the top rack of the dishwasher. The surface area of glass expands when heated and therefore glasses should not be stacked while still warm from washing as they then may stick together and break. Hot glasses taken out of the dishwasher should be allowed to cool down before filling with cold water.
