Helpful Dog Framed photograph, H61 x W71cm
Taken in the 1920s and currently stored as part of the General Photographic Agency's archive within the Getty Images Gallery, this cute, quirky picture depicts a dog holding onto child actor Jackie Lucas by the tail of his golfing jacket as he tries to retrieve a ball in a river. Born in 1919, Jackie Lucas was one of the first popular child movie stars of Hollywood.
This photograph has been carefully hand-exposed and hand-retouched from an original negative by skilled master printers in the UK for the highest possible quality print. Resin prints such as this piece also feature a plastic emulsion surface coating and are then framed with archivally sound materials to ensure longevity. This beautiful artwork will arrive stamped and will also be provided with a certificate of authenticity.
