Hand-painted dinner plate, made in Granada, Spain by a family of artisans. The Tabla design is a motif taken from traditional designs. This type of colourful ceramics is part of the 'fajalauza' tradition of Granada, which stems from the city's history of blending Spanish north African culture. They speak of sunshine, long lunches and 'sobremesa': the Spanish word for the conversation over the table after a meal with family and friends.
