Slim Aarons - Jhelum River Mounted print, H51 x W51cm, Perspex
Renowned for his photography work depicting high society over half a century, Slim Aarons captured the golden age of wealth, privilege, beauty and leisure that occurred alongside—but quite separate from—the cultural and political backdrop of the Twentieth Century. Taken in 1961, this image depicts a luxury boat trip on the Jhelum River in Kashmir, India. The riverboat was named in honour of the famous British Clipper Ship.
Printed from the original scanned transparency housed in the Getty Images Archive, this beautiful artwork is also provided with a certificate of authenticity. Presented between a sheet of perspex and aluminium backing, each mounted photographic print forms an airtight bond with the materials to ensure no air bubbles or warping and creates a striking 'frameless' effect as the image is printed edge to edge. Finished with an aluminium sub-frame, this print is easy to hang directly onto your wall of choice.
