Since Scanpan’s inception in 1956, their hand-cast aluminium products with patented ceramic titanium coating have formed the core of their business in Denmark. With deep roots in traditional craftsmanship, the company creates functional and timeless tools for modern kitchens, from households to professional kitchens. In addition to the popular non-stick products, Scanpan’s range also includes refined design series and professional series in stainless steel and copper, special products for daily cooking and colourful kitchen knives and accessories. To ensure great quality, user-friendliness and aesthetics, they continuously develop their concepts with their partners and professional chefs.

Using melted recycled aluminium that is hand-poured into the moulds, each pan has been carefully created to provide an eco-friendly, sustainable product. Typically sourced from soda or beer cans, the metal is reprocessed as quality alloy and adapted to meet their quality requirements. By using recycled aluminium, Scanpan is making a positive contribution to the environmental balance, because aluminium extraction can be particularly energy-intensive. The high quality of Scanpan's pans means that every pan has a long life, therefore fighting against the use and dispose culture of late, and helping to contribute towards a more sustainable society.

Scanpan was also the first manufacturer of cookware to introduce environmentally friendly, PFOA-free products to the market. Today, all SCANPAN products are free from both PFOA and PFOS. This prevents the transfer of harmful chemicals in your cooking, whilst also providing the highest quality performance.
