On Thursday 13th October Brides Magazine joined The Wedding Shop to host an exclusive reader event at our beautifully revamped showroom at Selfridges Oxford Street. Lucky brides-to-be were treated to an evening of top tips and expert advice on organising their big day from the best names in bridal. Our lovely advisors were also on hand to offer help and guidance about creating a truly unique and personalised gift list.
To kick the evening off, the talented mixologists from Grey Goose Vodka provided “His n Hers” cocktail master classes. ‘His’ cocktail was a cool vodka lemon sour while ‘Hers’ was a deliciously sweet passionfruit martini. Guests got to show off their pouring skills while being given insider tricks to perfecting their mixing technique.
It was on to celebrity florist Philippa Craddock where guests were taught how to make their own stunning DIY flower crowns which they could take home, a great way to find inspiration for the best floral combinations.
Professional make-up artists from Bobbi Brown were on hand to offer step by step beauty makeovers creating that flawless wedding day look. There were fragrance consultations from Dior, and the brilliant FaceGym demonstrated how to carry out at-home facial workouts. To top it all off, The White Company showcased their exciting new products, guaranteed to be a must have on any gift list.
All the fun was captured by one of our latest brands, the ever so cool interactive instant camera company Impossible Project. Definitely one to add to your list for your big day.
As a memento of the evening our lovely brides left with a jam packed goodie bag full of treats from all the wonderful brands involved.
A big thank you to all the talented experts for creating such an amazing experience, and to Selfridges for hosting us. And in particular a huge thank you to Brides Magazine for their creative input and continued support.
