JENNIFER GEORGE SHARES HER WEDDING GIFT LIST WITH YOU. AND ANSWERS OUR QUESTIONS, TO HELP INSPIRE YOUR WEDDING LIST.
As Beauty Editor of Elle, Jennifer George has an eye for great style. Jennifer and her husband Wyndham had their wedding gift list with The Wedding Shop and have shared their haul with you. Along with some answers to our questions that will help inspire your gift list. Explore what it is like to have a Wedding Shop gift list through the perspective of the happy couple.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE WEDDING SHOP AS YOUR GIFT LIST SERVICE?
The Wedding Shop was the wedding registry that we knew we loved, because they have so much choice. It worked well for our wedding party too.
We’d been together almost a decade before getting married and had moved into our home six years ago on a budget. Lots of things needed a refresh (crockery, pots and pans, old bathmats.) So, it was a good chance to do that whilst letting our friends and family choose replacements to upgrade, that they thought were the most ‘us’. There is a lot to think about when you plan a wedding, but exploring all the different gift ideas was fun.
WHAT DID YOU LOVE ABOUT THE WEDDING SHOP?
The huuuugeee range of brands, and the ease of making our gift list via the app. I also loved that if we did find things ‘off list’ from another brand, they were happy to add them. We found a niche little linen bedding brand and were thrilled we could add it (and even more thrilled to now sleep in it thanks to a generous guest.) We would recommend The Wedding Shop to anyone looking for the best wedding gift list service.
WERE YOUR GUESTS PLEASED THAT YOU HAD A WEDDING GIFT LIST IN PLACE?
I think people like being given the guidance a wedding gift list offers. Whether they choose to purchase a wedding gift or not, at least there is clarity. It saves awkward conversations. We were blown away by people’s generosity.
DID YOU ENJOY YOUR GIFT LIST EXPERIENCE?
Yes, so much so that we’re dragging out the wedding gift deliveries for as long as possible so we can keep milking the wedding feels. It’s so lovely having reminders of all of our favourite people dotted around our home.
The service was so easy to use, and we will be taking advantage of the lifetime discount, I am sure. The Wedding Shop offer a really personal service and you can speak to an actual person for advice too. Overall, a great wedding registry experience, almost as fun as wedding dress shopping.
WHAT DID YOU ADD TO YOUR WEDDING REGISTRY?
We created the list online at the same time as doing our wedding invitations. So, this helped us think about gifts in line with our guest list. For example, we chose gifts at different price points. And different kinds of wedding gifts we thought different people might like to see on our wedding gift registry.

On your list you also have a useful tool that can help guide you what to list and how many gifts to add in line with your guest numbers, you can find it here.
